Tax Credits and Refunds
Volunteers prepare tax returns to help low and moderate income households access the Earned Income Tax
Credit and other important credits.  Volunteers are trained and certified by the IRS.  Oakdale Neighbors is part
of the
Kent County Tax Credit Coalition.

Want to be a tax volunteer?
  • New volunteers become IRS certified by participating in a 20-hour class over five consecutive evenings.
Call for information. Training, materials, and support are provided.
  • Returning volunteers can become certified by passing the Link and Learn test online.  The Volunteer
Assistor's Test/Retest (Form 6744) (17 MB) can be used to prepare for the online test.
